2024 Regional Maths challenge
Four pupils from Kirkcudbright Academy recently competed in the D&G Regional Maths Challenge held at St Jospeh’s College.
The team had to undertake a variety of mathematical challenges, ranging from numerical questions, to puzzles and problem solving, origami paper shapes and the rapid fire relay quiz.
After a day of very close competition the team from KBT finished 2nd overall with 121 points and will go forward to the national finals at the Glasgow Science Centre in November. Congratulations to Stuart Davies, Ciara Simpson, Ava Rice and Arthur Moodie for representing the school and best of luck in Glasgow!
