Kirkcudbright Academy recently held their annual Awards Ceremony to recognise the hard work and achievements of the students at the school. Following a trial period where the Junior and Senior Awards Ceremonies were held separately, it was decided to combine the two ceremonies once again. It was well attended by parents/carers of our young students with a live stream broadcast to the pupils who could not be accommodated within the hall.
It was also time to say a formal farewell to two of our staff members who were retiring from the teaching profession, Mr Christie, who had been with the school for 41 years, and Mr Firth.
