We are now an accredited Rights Respecting School having achieved our Bronze Award from Unicef. This means that we have shown that we are committed as a school community to making the rights in the UNCRC at the heart of everything we do. This has been achieved by our school Pupil Council who act as our steering group as well as some of our staff who have helped get this programme started this year.

As a school we are now aiming for the Silver award, Rights Aware, which focusses on everyone in the school community becoming more familiar with the UNCRC articles and what these mean for our young people and children worldwide. We had our first Rights Activity IDL day at the end of May to help our young people and staff learn more about the rights across different activities and was a great success.
