Monday 27th January saw the Academy hold it’s annual Careers Evening for students in S3-6. With a host of University, College and local business representatives it provided an ideal opportunity for our young students to investigate possible career pathways and employment opportunities. With a good turn out there was something for everyone.
Parents and students also had the chance to hear about My World of Work, an online program used at school to help students plan their future pathways and prepare for life beyond school.
A presentation was also given on the opportunities available through the Foundation Apprenticeship scheme which allows students to undertake work based courses while still continuing studies at school.
