We wish you every success and hope everyone receives the results they are hoping for when they are delivered tomorrow, 9th August. Whether you have registered to receive them via text/email or waiting for the envelope to drop through the door we hope it’s a day for celebration.
What if You don’t get the grades you were looking for?
Don’t worry it’s not the ‘end of the world’, you may be able to appeal your result. If the grade you received for a subject is lower than the estimate submitted by the school we may have evidence we can submit to support an appeal. You should have received an information booklet from the SQA on appeals: see the link below:

Once you’ve received your results, if any of your grades don’t seem right or you did not perform as well as your school, college or training provider expected, you may be able to appeal.
Priority Appeals
Was your College/University place conditional on that grade you did not achieve?
If you did not achieve the grade you needed to secure that place at College or University phone the school on Tuesday 9th August, between 11.00 and 3.00, to discuss the possibility of a ‘Priority Appeal’. We will be able to advise on whether this is possible.
If your results do not have any impact on a College/University place, but you still wish to appeal for a subject, see Mr Henry when you return to school.
Didn’t Receive the Grades Required for your College/University Course
If you are in the situation where you didn’t achieve the grade required for your chosen College/University place, and you school estimate for a particular subject was also below the required grade you can receive help through the SDS Helpline, see the previous post.

Need to Change a Subject/Level
If you are in the situation where you have performed better than expected, or not as well as expected, you may feel you need to change the level at which you are studying a subject, or change subject completely. You can phone the school on Tuesday 9th August, between 11.00 and 3.00, to make an appointment to discuss any change in school on Friday 19th August between 10.00 and 12.00.
