Home Learning

Due to the imposed School Closures, Academy students should switch to Online Learning as of Monday 11th January.

Staff will use a variety of techniques to provide Learning Online:

  • Posting work for students to work through in their own time.
  • Setting assignments/projects for students to work on.
  • Posting video material for students to view.
  • Requesting students complete work from 3rd party sites.
  • Face to Face delivery through Teams

Regardless of the type of work issued, students should ensure that they visit GLOW, Teams and Show My Homework every morning to make sure they know what is expected of them.

The Apps/Programs use by staff include:

  • GLOW
  • Teams
  • Show My Homework (Satchel One)

If students do not have access to the Class Site they expect to see they should contact their Teacher via GLOW email in the first instance.

Some subjects will be using dedicated subject platforms for delivering work, however students should be directed to these through the subject sites on Teams or Show My Homework.

All of the above Apps/Platforms can be accessed through Computer, Laptop and Mobile Phone.

Accessing Glow on Your Console

Did you know that pupils can access Glow on their gaming consoles? This might help free up home laptops or devices for parents who are also seeking to work from home. It may not be available on all console formats but this guide will help Xbox and PlayStation users.
