Kirkcudbright Academy held it’s annual Awards and Leavers Ceremony last Thursday 27th June, to mark the achievements of the students at the school and to say farewell to the S6 Leavers, who are going on to pastures new. The ceremony which was well attended by parents and supporters of the school also provided an opportunity to say farewell to departing staff and thank them for their contribution to the achievements of the students at the school, especially Mrs Jackson-Bonning and Mrs Grant who presented the awards to those receiving prizes.
The ceremony also gave the Rector Mr Tuffery the opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed to the life and success of the school during this last year and to assure everyone that, although the recruitment of staff into education is difficult at this time, the school has a full compliment of teaching staff for next session.
