Things not gone the way you had hoped? Need to make changes to your subject options?
If you did not achieve the results in your exams you were expecting and you are in the situation where you may have to ‘resit’ one or more of your subjects it is not too late to make that change. Advice has always been that to progress from National 5 to Higher, or Higher to Advanced Higher you should have achieved at least a B pass in the subject below to progress to the next level. If you did not achieve a C pass or better it is very unlikely you will be able to cope with the level of work at the higher level this year coming.
If you are in the situation where you need to look again at your subject choices for the coming year you can phone the school on 01557330440 to make an appointment with Mr Henry to discuss your options. You will be invited to come in to school on Tuesday 18th August to make any changes to your courses ready to start when you return on the 20th Aug.
This option is for those that need to change subjects due to exam results only any other reasons for changing subjects will be looked at on your return.
Please contact the school on the day you receive your results, 4th August, if you require an appointment, as the office may not be staffed on other days during the summer break.
