With Remembrance Day falling on a Saturday, students and staff at the Academy held their 2 minute silence along with a Wreath Laying ceremony on Friday 10th November at 11.00am. The 2 wreath laying parties, one in the main school hall and the other at the memorial stone in the school grounds were joined by representatives from the Parent Council, Kirkcudbright Rotary Club, Army and Sea Cadets.
In addition to the Remembrance ceremony the sixth year pupils at the school held a whole school assembly to highlight the reasons for remembering the sacrifices made by so many during the World Wars.
