19 pupils from Kirkcudbright Academy entered the 2024 UKMT Senior Mathematical Challenge on Tuesday 1st October. This challenge encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems.
This year our Silver award winner was Hannah Chen, and three Bronze awards went to Brooke Crane, Iain McGougan and Stewart Walker. All other pupils achieved a participation award.
