The interschool golf match between Kirkcudbright Academy, Castle Douglas High School and Dalbeattie High School was held on Wednesday 22nd May at Castle Douglas Golf Club. On Friday some of our S3 pupils teamed up to try to win a contract, tendered by the local authority, to build an autonomous monorail system in Kirkcudbright. Pupils assumed the roles of Robot Programmer, Civil Engineer, Urban Planner and Construction Manager in our autonomous transport themed STEM session.
6 students from Kirkcudbright Academy recently joined up with 6 students from Kverhuset Secondary in Fredrikstad, Norway, to take part in an exchange program between the two schools.
