On Friday some of our S3 pupils teamed up to try to win a contract, tendered by the local authority, to build an autonomous monorail system in Kirkcudbright.  Pupils assumed the roles of Robot Programmer, Civil Engineer, Urban Planner and Construction Manager in our autonomous transport themed STEM session.

Last night saw our annual Careers Evening with representatives from Local Employers, Colleges and Universities on hand to provide advice to our students and parents on future career opportunities and pathways. There was an excellent turnout of around 150 students and parents attending the event which was organised by our Pupil Support PT Miss Wells.

With Remembrance Day falling on a Saturday, students and staff at the Academy held their 2 minute silence along with a Wreath Laying ceremony on Friday 10th November at 11.00am. The 2 wreath laying parties, one in the main school hall and the other at the memorial stone in the school grounds were joined by
